1. About this policy
This policy is issued by Shanghai Yiyou Metal Products Co., Ltd. and applies to our official website, including its Chinese, Japanese and English versions. It explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit the site or contact us through it, and how you can exercise your rights.
The site is intended mainly for business customers, presenting our processing capabilities and enabling business contact. It offers no consumer transactions and no account registration.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you contact us through the online enquiry form we collect the name, company, phone number, email address and message you provide. Apart from what you choose to write in the message itself, we never ask for sensitive personal information such as identity document or bank account numbers, and we ask that you do not include such details in your message.
2.2 Information collected automatically
To keep the site and the enquiry form running safely — for example to detect duplicate submissions and abuse — we record the submission time, a salted-hash identifier of the request source, and a simplified description of the browser or device type. We never store plaintext IP addresses, and the hash cannot be reversed to recover the original address. Our server and reverse proxy also retain ordinary operational logs for a limited period for troubleshooting and security auditing.
2.3 What we do not collect
This website carries no third-party advertising or behavioural analytics code. We do not build user profiles, perform cross-site tracking, or make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
3. How we use information
- Responding to your enquiry and providing business information such as capabilities, specifications and quotations;
- Communicating with you during the business relationship, arranging samples or discussing cooperation;
- Preventing spam, duplicate submissions and other abuse, and keeping the site secure;
- Meeting compliance obligations where required by law.
We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to those listed above. If a new purpose arises, we will seek your consent separately.
We process this information on the basis of the consent you give when submitting the form, and because it is necessary to respond to your request and to enter into or perform a contract.
4. Use of cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary for core functionality and security. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, which is why no marketing cookie banner is shown.
| Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Anti-forgery token | Prevents cross-site request forgery, protecting the enquiry form and admin sign-in. | Until the session ends |
| Language preference | Remembers whether you chose the Chinese, Japanese or English version. | Up to 1 year |
| Admin sign-in | Used only when our own staff sign in to the content management area. | Until the session ends or you sign out |
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, but if the necessary cookies above are blocked the enquiry form may not submit correctly.
5. Sharing and processing by others
We do not sell, rent or disclose your personal information to third parties, except in the following cases:
- With your explicit consent;
- Where necessary to fulfil your request (for example, providing delivery details to a courier when sending samples);
- Where hosting or network-security providers process data on our behalf, strictly under our instructions and bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations;
- Where required by law or in response to a lawful request from a judicial or administrative authority.
6. Data location and cross-border transfers
The servers and database for this website are located in the People's Republic of China, and the information you submit is stored and processed there by default. If a business need requires transferring your information abroad — for example to affiliates or customers in Japan or elsewhere — we will obtain your separate consent in advance and complete the formalities required by applicable law.
7. Retention
Enquiry data is kept for no more than three years from submission, for business follow-up and necessary record-keeping. Where a business relationship is established, contact details are kept for the duration of that relationship and for any period required by law. Security-related operational logs are kept for no more than six months. Once the retention period ends we delete the data or anonymise it irreversibly.
8. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk, including site-wide HTTPS encryption, role separation and action auditing in the admin area, database access control, regular backups, and type and content validation of uploaded files. Please note that no internet transmission can be guaranteed absolutely secure. Should a personal data incident occur, we will notify affected individuals and report to the competent authority as required by law.
9. Your rights
Within the limits of applicable law, you may exercise the following rights over the personal information we hold about you:
- Access and copy: find out what information we hold about you;
- Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Erasure: ask us to delete it where the purpose has been fulfilled, you withdraw consent, or processing breaches the law or our agreement;
- Withdraw consent: at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand;
- Restrict processing and request an explanation of how we handle personal information.
Please submit requests using the contact details in section 11. To protect your information we may first need to verify your identity; we will respond within 15 working days of receiving your request.
10. Minors and third-party links
This website is aimed at business customers and does not intentionally collect personal information from minors. If you are the guardian of a child under 14 and believe we may hold their information, please contact us so we can delete it.
The site may link to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, to which this policy does not apply; please review them before use.
